“Unable to connect - Troubleshoot” problem with Wi-Fi Router connection

I am just trying to connect to the Wi-Fi home network which is been hosted by Linksys router but somehow whenever I try to connect to the network it just says “Unable to connect - Troubleshoot”. Tried several times but still I am getting the same error. What should I do to fix this problem?

Before going deep to the root cause of the problem, make sure that the Linksys Router is powered up and you are getting the signal properly which can be checked with the LEDs which are present, now just go through the below points and check if all the options are met to fix the issues
-> If you have set some WPA or WPA2 passkey for the network then you need to set that first and then connect to the network. If you are not sure about that and someone else did the setup in your home then confirm the network key and follow the below steps to set that passkey,
STEP 1: Right click on the network connection from the Wi-Fi menu and select Properties.
STEP 2: Go to the Security tab and select the appropriate security type and give in the passkey and select OK.
-> Once the above steps are done, try to reconnect again. The steps will be more or less the same with all the platform where you need to check for the Wi-Fi security settings and set the passkey.
-> If there is no passkey and still you are not able to connect then try to disable your Wi-Fi network device from the Network and Security option and enable it again which will refresh all the settings of your Wi-Fi and try connecting.
-> No help still? You said that you use to receive the window which says Unable to connect - Troubleshoot. From here select the option Troubleshoot for problems and then select Next where it runs up the basic ping check up and clears up all the basic settings for setting up the connection where it will help to make the proper connection with the router.
-> Switch off and On your router once and cross check the above points again.
-> If still the problem persist then try connecting some of your friends laptop or PC with the same router and check if it is connecting if not then probably you need to get the replacement for the router to make it work.
