How to clean baseball gloves

The first thing we have to do to clean a baseball glove is to remove the cord with which the glove is tied. If it is very difficult for you to remove it, then you can cut it, only if you see it necessary, but be careful not to damage the glove with the scissors or razor you use.

Use a stiff nylon cleaning brush to brush the glove, this will help remove mold from the leather and other dirt residues between the folds.

  • You can make a homemade solution to clean baseball gloves by placing equal parts of water and white vinegar or lemon juice in a container. Take a clean cloth, moisten it with this solution, and wipe the edges, cracks even scratches on it. Run a clean cloth dampened with just plain water over the entire glove to remove any traces of vinegar or lemon.
  • Put the baseball glove in a cool, dry place to dry well. Let the moisture drain completely, so you can continue treating the glove. Once the glove is dry, polish it with a clean cloth. Both vinegar and lemon juice are great at killing fungus and removing dirt and odors from clothes. Since baseball gloves get dirty easily, it’s a good idea to give them a cleaning treatment with these solutions from time to time.

    • With a cloth dampened in water, clean the dirt and moisture from the bat. Rinse the cloth in clean water so it does not stain again and repeat this process until the bat is completely clean.Remember that many times our performance in sports depends on how clean our accessories are, so it is very important that you know how to clean gloves and baseball bats when your children come for your help to win their games.
